Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
In order to maintain our registration and status as competent, committed professionals, family therapists engage in continuous professional development (CPD), a combination of activities which enhance systemic practice. These include both individual and peer supervision, further training in psychotherapy and attendance at conferences and workshops. Family therapists are required to complete 250 hours of CPD every five years in order to remain on the FTAI register.
